Pointe du Hoc
Objective of the 2nd Rangers Battalion on June 6, this cliff, 30m high, was very well defended by a German Battery. Bombed before the assault troops arrived, Pointe du Hoc is still marked by fighting. Lenght of visit: 1h*
Omaha Beach
Called “Bloody Omaha”, this quite beach became a terrible trap for combat units on DDay. Stuck between enemy’s fire and the coming tide, assault troops were slaughtered. The first American temporary cemetery was created there. Lenght of visit: 45min*
Normandy American Cemetery
Organized as a souvenir garden, it is a remembrance place. More than 9000 graves remind us men sacrifice, men who gave their life for liberty. Many graves which are so many stories and life to tell. Lenght of visit: 1h*
Longues-sur-mer
In the middle of fields, this German Battery was built by the TODT Organization. Bunkers were in charge to defend coasts of Normandy during allied attacks. Today, original guns are still in place and perfectly refurbished. Lenght of visit: 45min*
Arromanches
Part of the Gold Beach sector, this small seaside resort was chosen to welcome the Mulberry B artificial harbor. Vestiges are still in the sea and help us to understand DDay logistics. Lenght of visit: 1h*
Utah Beach
The “Ivy” Division of Barton landed on the beach, located in the Manche area, on June 6. Part of the American sector, the beach was less deadly than its neighbor Omaha. Its history was written by famous words of Theodore Roosevelt Jr: “We’ll start the war from right here”. Lenght of visit: 45min*
Sainte-Mere Eglise
Famous village thanks the movie “The Longest Day” and the adventure of John Steele, paratrooper stuck on the church tower bell, Sainte-Mère-Eglise was the first village of France liberated by allied troops. It was located in the heart of drop zones. Lenght of visit: 1h*
